Document-Based Questions (DBQ)
The following instructions are similar to the ones you will find in the Regents. Read them carefully and using the DBQ Strategies, answer the short questions that will help you to write your essay.
Document-Based Essay
This task is based on the accompanying documents (1-7). Some of these documents have been edited for the purposes of this task. This task is designed to test your ability to work with historical documents. As you analyze the documents, take into account both the source of each document and the author's point of view.

Read Document 1 -7 and answer the questions after each one. Then read
the directions in Essay and write your essay.
Historical Context
In the last several decades the Bronx County has experienced significant changes in population. A major shift has occurred in the number of Latinos as a percent of the Bronx population. Also significant are the changes within the Latino population.
Task
Using information from the documents and your knowledge of global history
