STR patterns

DNA fragments of the same length move at the same rate through the gel. The resulting pattern of DNA bands on the gel is matched up with a standard of all the alleles for a particular STR in order to identify the STR alleles present in a DNA sample.

In the gel pattern shown below the STR has alleles with 5 to 10 repeats. All of these are run in the lane labeled "Standards". Alice has alleles 5 and 8, which run to the same distance as alleles 5 and 8 in the standard. Bob has alleles 9 and 10, and Cindy has alleles 6 and 8.

Where do you expect to see the STR bands in Cindy's DNA sample? Drag the DNA bands to the right place on the gel.
