The hair

So Sidney Strine had drunk from the glass. He seemed surprised that we'd been able to detect his DNA on the glass, but said that his uncle had offered him a glass of water when he came to visit the day before the murder. A little peculiar that there were no fingerprints, though...

The fourth strand of evidence was literally just that, a strand of brown hair. We found it on the floor near the body. It was brown, like Conwell's ... or Strine's ... or Trimble's.

The hair has no attached root, so we can't do STR analysis on it. We can test the mitochondrial DNA, though, and see if we get a match with one of the suspects.
