Each one of you would be an amateur meteorologist and collect data everyday, Real meteorologist obtain data via computer from many sources and continuously, 24 hours a day. However, you are just beginning your career in this area so you should collect your data twice a day for two weeks.

Focus question for your project:

Is there a pattern in the relationship between the temperature and the pressure in course of a week, in your area?

You should work with a partner to collect your data and analyze the results. However, you must work on your own to write your report. Your report must not bear any similarity with any that of your partner’s or any other members of your class.

Report should be divided into the following sections:

1. Focus question

Is there a pattern in the relationship between the temperature and the pressure in course of a week, in your area?

2. Your initial hypothesis:

What is the rationale for this hypothesis? A hypothesis is not a guess. It is based on observations of natural phenomena. So provide some explanations for your hypothesis. Do not worry about being right or wrong. An hypothesis can turn out to be wrong.

3. Data Collection:

Go to http//www.weather.com

Enter the zip code 43026

Record the temperature and the pressure.

Record the time of the day and the date

4. Procedure

Give detailed description of how and when you collected the data.

5. Data Analysis

Read a book or some other source to find out about the relationship between temperature and pressure.

Did you find the same kind of relationship? Or were your findings different?
