Lesson Builder Pilot Program |
The pilot program was designed to test and optimize the usability of the LessonBuilder and demonstrate its power as a teaching tool. During the summer of 2002, we met at Baruch College with 5 professors from CUNY's Queens College, Medgar Evers College, and Hostos College. The participants were asked to prepare a lesson, format it appropriately and gather media assets to support it. They were then asked to use the LessonBuilder to transform the lesson they prepared into an online multimedia-rich lesson.
During a two-day workshop, participants met individually with the LessonBuilder’s development team to finalize their lessons. The pilot program resulted in 5 full multi-media lessons, which you can view by clicking the links above, a rich media library, and a host of invaluable suggestions for improvement that were incorporated into the final version of the LessonBuilder.
Participants
were provided:
- Training
on e-learning concepts and planning
- Instruction on using digital voice recorders
- Training on using the Lesson Builder application
The LessonBuilder
development team would like to thank all the pilot program participants
for their advice, patience and good humor!
